About

I guess this is where I am supposed to tell you who I am.

Well to start, my name is Jacob Allred. I was born on March 13, 1985, in Bellevue, Michigan. After that I moved to Sheffield, Alabama, and then to Flanders, New Jersey, and then to Penn Valley, California, and then to Folsom, California, and then to Florence, South Carolina, and then to the Salt Lake valley in Utah, and then back to Florence, South Carolina, and then to Columbia, South Carolina, and then to Newport News, Virginia, and now I’m in Suffolk, Virginia. These moves gave me quite a bit of perspective on the many different ways of life in which people of this country live. It has also helped me to see that no matter where you go, you run into crazy stupid people.

In addition to the above named places, I also spent two years (April 2004 to March 2006) serving a full-time religious mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Utah Salt Lake City South Mission. During this time I spent every hour of every day serving Jesus Christ by preaching His restored Gospel. It was easily the best and most rewarding time of my life.

I’ve spent the majority of my life working with computers. I started out playing door games on dial-in bulletin board systems (I love Usurper and TradeWars 2002), later got involved with web development and programming, and currently spend most of my free time working on webpages (like the Fake Name Generator).

Some of my interests include web development, amateur electronics, science fiction books, my fiancee, Choose Your Own Adventure books, and do-it-yourself projects.

So, now that you know a little bit more about me, go read some stuff!
